During the K1 process you will have a few interviews.

In our case the nearest embassy was in London. So I took a little trip down to London for the interview and of course for a bit of sightseeing.

London is a great city. It has a great underground system. You can get absolutely anywhere quite easily. If you are staying overnight before your interview there are quite a few hotels to choose from. The hotel I stayed at was the Concorde Hotel which is directly across the street from the Embassy Doctor at Great Cumberland Place. I emailed them a few weeks before and they told me that their rates were £35 for a single room or £45 for a double or twin per night. I thought this was quite reasonable for Central London. So i booked up. Prices do vary and you will pay more if your interview is in the summer months.
